Our project aims to be inclusive in the African context. It is in this sense that we thought of combining the local solutions available to express our vision : “daylight in the building”.The concept of the project is based on the principles of “Starry Sky” and “Divine Light”. We want to provide users with a starry sky feel and feel through daylight. The building being a place of collection and meditation, the atmosphere of the starry sky would be a response to the need for communion with God through the impression of celestial rapprochement. Daylight would then be assimilated to divine light expressing a strong sensation during meditation. Our goal is to create sensations and capture the details of the light in the building. The project is distinguished by its concrete ceiling perforated with bamboo rods, its exterior cladding in compressed earth brick and its openings with colored frames. Its raised roof is made of transparent corrugated iron to allow daylight to pass through the perforations. This system creates a series of round openings that filter the light and create a dynamic luminous pattern in the building which enriches the sensory experience in the space. Daylight penetrates the ceiling of the room through the vegetal gaps and pours into the room like a luminous rain. The occupant in meditation then has the feeling of being touched by a higher being which reinforces his feeling of communion. The encounter between vertical, oblique or even horizontal light rays provides a changing atmosphere of the room during the day. These openings allow the building to enjoy natural light and ventilation.
