Algae and Daylight

In the project, it was thought that a layer should be created between the glasses used in the window. This layer will be filled with fresh water where the algae can live. The algae will grow depending on the daylight and prevent direct sunlight from entering. In addition to green algae, it is desired to create shadow plays in the interior by using red and brown algae. At night, this layer will return to its former state, as algae stops growing and does not photosynthesize.

This system was used in the BIQ house. We think that this project can be realized with algae of different colors. Our goal is to create shadow games indoors.
