Facade operation for small spaces, with the purpose of increasing the amount of light reaching the intermediate spaces:
– The main idea of the project is to maximize the provision of light in reduced interior courtyards, by modifying the shape and materiality of the balconies. By giving them a semi-spherical shape, with materials such as glass or aluminum, a more homogeneous dispersion of light towards the lower floors is achieved. This can improve the habitability conditions of places with overcrowding problems such as vertical ghettos.
– The balconies are intervened by giving them a spherical shape, which helps to disperse the light towards neighboring balconies.
– The proposal also considers the use of reflective materials of different colors, in order to create different atmospheres in the lower areas of the project; and the provision of light to subway spaces according to the time of day, as can be seen in the attached planimetry.
– In this way value is given to vertical ghettos.
