Site Location :The project is located in Lebanon, in the valley of Qadisha in Hadchit which is recognized as a promontory village towards the valley. It has been an important place throughout history since the Paleolithic era with the various caves which served as shelter and refuge. Visitors will be able to discover the history of the valley through my project journey.

Project concept :I took the main path of the village, which passes by the churches, containing traces of the Roman era, until arriving at the last church of the village which is on the promontory. From the church, visitors will enter the project that ends towards the path of the monastery of Deir el Salib. The idea was to recreate the village of Hadchit underground, and recreate the church through the ramps. The church led me to the cave and the underground village frames the passage.

Light concept :The central opening distributes natural light to the circulation and the other openings was inspired on the historical period of each function and the surrounding of the site. The natural light of each function or era will change shape or direction depending on the time and orientation. The project is open to the sky from the top, so natural light also passes through the central empty space of the project, where the church can also be seen from the ramps at certain levels.
