In the survey results of the population composition of Shipai Village, we found that the 18-30-year-old and the next generation of such people account for the vast majority of the total population. Aiming at the problems of mental state and living environment faced by these two age groups, we use dynamic and static to divide”the space, namely the meditation space and the flowing colorspace.
Guangzhou Shipai Village is a typical urban village in Guangzhou, which is huddled among the high-rise buildings of the city’s CBD, like a bush in a concrete forest. The village’s narrow alleyways are indistinguishable by day and night, iluminated only by a small street lamp. Furthermore, humans living in the dark for a long time will feel uneasy and afraid.
We chose the only “patio” in the village to be a place where light can heal people.
