“Remember that you will die” is the meaning of Memento Mori. It is warning, awareness, inspiration, and ways to understand life’s nature fearlessly.

Death has been with us since we were born, and nothing in this world is as certain as death. Every day, the hustle and bustle of the world around us makes us unable to see the death at hand. Death is a universal nature that can happen to all life forms and not discriminate against race or caste. Even happiness, money, or power itself is unsustainable. In the end, there was nothing but emptiness left.Memento Mori taught us that we are not immortal. When there is the beginning, there must be the end. It is a cycle in a limited human life span. How will our path be when we know that the future is death? Only we are the ones who choose how to live until the last day.

Memento Morial is the place for a spirit to rest. We use burial to make fertilizer that gives new life to trees that grow in areas with water and natural sunlight. We wanted to remind and enlighten people of the Circle of Life to convey the meaning of Memento Mori concretely through the seedlings that we have grown from the manure of burial bodies, which returned to their families so that they could remember the precious and the beauty of life. Not only the place to show the meaning of life, but Memento Morial is also the place designed to solve the global warming issue. Many combined problems that people in society overlook cause pollution that affects the world. After the COVID-19 outbreak, if you look closely, what disappeared during lockdown is not human but is a different human activity since the traffic congestion, factories that release wastewater, polluted air, and the number of tourists that exceed the capacity of the area. When these things are gone, it’s not surprising that nature has miraculously recovered.
