The Project was done in Montego Bay, Jamaica on the Hip Strip. The concept of the project was generated from the Jamaican popular dance The Breadfruit Dance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGdtxQM8TuI. From this dance the Concepted developed to The Dichotomy Of Movement where the building in its natural habitat is displaying movement. MERGING TWO CONCEPTS OF LINEAR MOVEMENT AND FLUID GESTURES. UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENCE TO MAKE THE DESIGN READ AS ONE. This building is designed to sit in the habitat of the hip strip in Montego Bay Jamaica. The community can enter this building from the lobby on the ground floor and the second-floor level. There is a bridge on the second-floor level that connects this building to another building on site one and also the parking lot east of site three. Each floor is rotated at a pivot point which is to the core to signify the movement in the building façade. The building’s main function is the concert hall which is double-height and is also located on the second floor level. This building will be a upliftment to the Montego bay hip strip.
