Remedial Chromotherapy Doghouse

The definition of color therapy is the use of the visible spectrum, or color light, to heal the physical, mental, and spiritual energy imbalance that tends to lead to disease. There have been several studies to determine its effectiveness on animals, so I propose a doghouse that is purely meant as a therapy space for dogs. To understand how chromotherapy works first there needs to be an understanding of the animal energy field.In addition to our visible physical bodies, we are each made up of energetic bodies, including the aura (or subtle bodies), chakras, and meridians. Universal life force energy enters our field through the subtle bodies and works its way through them to the chakras. From there it travels along the meridians and makes its way into the nervous, endocrine, and circulatory systems and then on to the cells, tissues, and organs of the body. When our energy fields are clear of blockages, imbalances, and negative influences, this process runs smoothly, and good health is maintained.Based on Electrochromic glass technology designed by Velux I propose a color-changing glass that will act as a filter for the natural light into the doghouse. As outlined below each color has different effects on a dog’s emotional and physical states. The two dog houses I propose will be remotely controlled by the owner for different colored lights based on the dog’s needs. Doghouse A will have a more targeted beam to affect a specific part of the dog. Doghouse B will have a wider beam that affects the overall mood of the dog. The space is meant to be a comforting and welcoming area where the dog can come and go freely. Dogs have the intuition to know when and how much of the therapy they need, and it needs to be in a place so the dog will naturally gravitate towards it. It will not have the same effect if the dog is forced or closed in with the light it must all be natural to achieve the best results.
