The theme of squaring the circle is expressed in the transition from a cylindrical to a square shape, which can be read both from the inside and the outside of the build structure. The successive deformation creates a paradoxical interaction between the two geometrical forms and the deformation creates an inner tension. After the narrow main entrance, the structure continues in a corridor. The flat, round ceiling is cut through by the interplay of circle and square, generating an inlet of light that emphasizes the shape of the inner structure. The sunlight stages the deformation of the building, makes it appear sculptural and enhances the perception of the massive structure. This impression also results from the choice of brick masonry as the main material for both the interior and exterior. The uniform and warm surfaces of the reddish stones in combination with the incidence of daylight and in combination with the design language are creating a calming and still lively atmosphere and stimulate an inner contemplation.
