A pavilion designed for events related to the war in Ukraine. This street furniture is primarily to serve as a shelter against weather conditions, and to give people a feeling of security. The pavilion is a module that can perform various functions depending on the needs, for example as a place to rest, spend free time, cooking, or as a sanitary facility – it is possible due to the span of the structure and its height, in the middle of the pavilion there is 1 , 90m, which allows you to move freely within the facility. The structure of the pavilion is made of a light material such as aluminum, on the outside there is a layer of the latest technology, which is TERMOBIMETAL – under the influence of sunlight, the metal plates bend and let sunlight inside and ventilate the center of the room. It is not necessary to place the pavilion in relation to the directions of the world, because regardless of the time of day, the metal sheets will only bend when the sun’s rays fall directly on them. As the structure is made of aluminum, it is also easy to move the object after it is folded. The inspiration was the events related to the situation on the Polish-Ukrainian border where people were not supposed to go to each other, eat a hot meal in peace, or simply sit down and rest after escaping from their own country. The main task of the pavilion is a shelter, but the shape and material that was used for this object is so interesting that it can even stand in the city center as an exhibition and a place for exploring and learning about metals.
