In an effort to cut out/reduce lighting from the electricity bill to provide ease to those suffering in poverty as well as to provide lighting in situations where artificial lighting is no longer an option due to Load Sheading (within a South African context), THE DOME OF LIGHT is introduced. This is a device that collects sunlight and through means of reflecting and refracting it brings natural daylight into dwellings.
