Registrations open to PhD students for VELUX DAYLIGHT ACADEMIC FORUM 2025

Daylight research Ph.D. students are invited to apply now for the 8th VELUX Daylight Academic Forum. The forum will be hosted at Aarhus University, Aarhus, Denmark, September 17, 2025. On September 18, the 10th VELUX Daylight Symposium will take place in Horsens, Denmark.  Ph.D. students who take part in the Academic Forum are welcome to enjoy the Daylight Symposium event as part of the registration to the 8th Academic Forum.

 

What is the VELUX Daylight Academic Forum?

The VELUX Daylight Academic Forum is a research methods discussion for Ph.D. students with a thesis that includes daylight and related issues. It provides Ph.D. students with an opportunity to present their work to an invited panel of leading scientific experts and fellow students, discuss it, and receive insights for further development of their project. The aim is to raise discussion of research objectives and methodologies for Ph.D. s. The Academic Forum runs in alternate years with LumeNet, which has a focus on general lighting.

If you wish to participate in this year’s VELUX Daylight Academic Forum please submit a short abstract to af@velux.com before 1 June 2025.

The event is free of charge with no registration or admittance fee for students, but you need to cover travel and accommodation.

VELUX Daylight Symposium 2025

If you wish to participate in this year’s VELUX Daylight Symposium, the symposium is free of charge with no registration or admittance fee for PhD students attending the Academic Forum.
