Earth also cries like mankind

Don’t know when lightness began to become symbol of mankind civilization, lighting up the night of countless earth. It seems that the light at night becomes the way humans communicate with the earth.Don’t know when the conquest of nature has become mankind normal, cutting down countless forest, polluting countless ocean. Conquest and development, it seems, are the only values of human existence.Don’t know when nature began to respond to human greed. Seems to be responding in its own way.Red tidesAnd the way natural select today is lightness, humans’ proud light of civilization. The blue luminous waves, the eutrophication of water behind them,These waters are no longer suitable for fish and shrimp gatheringSee this blue lightness in the seaBut just tears left by the earth at night, to tell mankind. What can we learn from the luminous blue tears in lightness?

Noctiluca Scintillans is a member of the dinoflagellate phylum, a surface coastal species, widely distributed around the world sea, which is the mainly cause of ocean red tide. Having the ability to emit light, which we often see as blue, the Noctiluca Scintillans often emerge where the water is polluted severely. Tears and other luminous phenomena are often caused by the stimulation of motive waves. We take advantage of the characteristics of the blue tears will glow when stimulated, in the sea full of blue tears set up a transparent enclosed space for people to pass, in different periods of time the ebb and flow of the tide will allow visitors to see the blue tears in the composition of the light also ebb and flow changes. Our design is the sword of Damocles. We create a construction on the beach of Pingtan, where the phenomenon of red tides is extremely severe. Because of pollution near the sea, there are a lot of Noctiluca Scintillans during summer and spring, which means the beautiful blue luminous waves with lightness are common in Pingtan seaside nowadays. Thus, our idea is to create a walking experience for people to get eye access to the light sea waves. As a reminder, we are supposed to make people pay attention to the economic problem. Looking like the extension of land towards the sea, our pavilion is constructed by concrete and glass. To making the waves flapping on the glass wall constantly, we put a large concrete wall in the front of our construction, which makes a negative pressure zone in the sea. That means waves on both sides will flow towards our glass wall, at the same time, the waves within lots of Noctiluca Scintillans will emit lightness due to the stimulation of the wall. In this view, with the process of flood tide and ebb tide, the luminous wave line will keep heaving and dipping, which create a dynamic section of the luminous sea.
