LIGHT IN THE RUINS OF WAR

The brutal war reduced the city to ruins. Broken buildings piled up on the ground. Sunlight streams through the gaps, creating a maze of light and shadow.We want to use the ruins of the war to create a memorial. The changes of light and shadow make people feel the pain and despair of the war and reflect on the atrocity of war. We use sunlight to guide people through the ruins, out of the shadow of war. The whole space is connected by the Chinese traditional four space syntax, namely “qi, cheng, zhuan, he”, which means “the beginning, the developing, the turning, the ending”.
