As an international financial center, Lujiazui in Pudong, Shanghai is naturally a gathering place for financial workers. In Lujiazui, Shanghai, many contemporary white-collar workers have been working in office buildings for a long time. They have to take the crowded subway to the company every day, and when the stars appear in the night sky, they continue to crowd the subway to go to get off work. Their work and life are two points and one line. The financial district in the city is full of high-rise buildings and lacks natural scenery. In this high-pressure environment, their body and mind lack communication and interaction with nature. But in China, landscape life can bring people a sense of happiness and comfort. So in order to let the white-collar workers relax in their work and life, I made this device to give them the pleasure of landscape in their work life.The design is to make a landscape installation of a sky corridor in a skyscraper in Lujiazui. It can be on any floor of a high-rise building. It is not limited by the number of layers. The design is inspired by Chinese landscapes. Chinese landscapes are the representative of Chinese nature. In this design, I want to express the literati spirit soaked in our national culture and our worship of the beauty of mountains and rivers, as well as our hope of returning to the countryside even though we are in the city. This indoor landscape painting is constructed through the use of light in the building. In terms of materials, the perimeter glass uses solar glass – ordinary glass with a coating that uses the collected solar energy and supplies energy. The interior of the landscape painting is made of polycarbonate grilles, and the wavy shape of the grille simulates the Chinese landscape. The reason for using polycarbonate in the interior is not only to make a landscape painting in the daytime, but also to make it also ornamental at night. The interior of the polycarbonate is added with light tubes, and the solar glass is just enough to power him. In this way, the interior of the installation can be appreciated by the staff at night, and the exterior is also a luminous landscape in the city.There are many benefits to using solar glass and polycarbonate materials. Solar glass can reduce the power consumption of skyscrapers to help save electricity. And in most cases, it is self-sufficient, and it can even power other skyscrapers because the device uses less electricity. The polycarbonate sheet has many advantages such as high light transmittance, high impact resistance, strong weather resistance, strong flame retardancy, and UV resistance. It is a high-tech, energy-saving and environmentally friendly plastic sheet with excellent comprehensive performance. Therefore, it can show the light show at night, and it also has a certain anti-ultraviolet effect during the day. In installations, its use is also in line with our environmental philosophy.In this installation, people can feel the charm of landscape during the day and the charm of the light installation at night. The diversity of building materials itself brings people a visual feast of light.
