“Just as I gazed through my window, On one fine morning, I wonder how? How can humans be so cruel to nature? We enjoyed the animal capture. Now as we stand similar to the caged animals, We realized their sorrow and struggles. Confining world within the small screens, We have all adapted to these new routines.”

The core idea of the design revolves around reimagining the changes in life due to the post-pandemic scenarios at many levels in our daily lives. Our design is a step towards exploring architecture in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We assume that in this era, there will be a gradual “re-connection” of communities with a tinge of cautious optimism. This new idea of architecture that we want to portray in our design is not just about a monumental structure but more about celebrating life and developing connections in a healthier and safer way. We want to propose a design that embraces human experiences at every scale (Macro, Micro, and Domestic) in our day-to-day lives. We tried to inculcate a hierarchy of private, semi-private, semi-public, and public areas by the means of closed, semi-open, and open spaces in and around the building. This draws a connection inside-inside as well as inside-outside. The design promotes a safer way of being together by the means of different architectural objects: A room with a windowA balcony overlooking the views A terrace that acts as a lush green community areaA co-working space that allows engagement with people
