The project is a Holocaust memorial exhibition, focused on manipulating the visual and spiritual power of sunlight in order to encourage deep contemplation and reflection. The experience is a large tunnel, where six million holes allow sunlight to radiate into the exhibit, shining through its artificially fogged interior in order to create rays of light. Each ray of light stands as a tribute to one of six million Jewish lives lost in the senseless atrocity that was the Holocaust. The rays shine upon a wall of the Hebrew names of those who perished. The outer skin of the tunnel rotates to accommodate for seasonal sun height variations, and the whole exhibit sits on a rotating base, so that no matter the season, sunlight will always directly permeate the structure.
