"Together with light" ——The Design of Modern Zen Temple Based on Zen Thought

Design backgroundIn the face of the concrete jungle without temperature, we often feel cold and depressed. Therefore, we try to build a spiritual refuge – Zen temple in the CBD of the city to give people who are gradually eroded by the cold feeling of the city a place to rest and breathe.

Design conceptWe hope to summarize and refine the Zen thought, connect the light with the Zen thought, apply it to the experience of space, and extract the form of Datura flower as the prototype in the architectural form, and their influence on the light expression in the space under different scenes. With light as the medium, the Zen thought is infiltrated into the architectural design, so that people can restore their inner true state in the architecture, provide a quiet spiritual demand and advocate frugal aesthetic experience for modern people living in complex environment, and sublimate their life emotion.
